Pioneer DJ have recently announced the launch of Rekordbox &, the DJ music management and performance software! We previously did a blog post about hardware unlock, and what hardware does what with Rekordbox, and now we are here to update that!
So the days of getting a serial number, or piece of card in the box are gone! Now software manufacturers are using "hardware unlock". You connect a compatible device, and depending on the device connected you inlock the software, or in some cases different elements of the software. Pioneer DJ tells us:
"When you connect a Hardware Unlock device, you can use it to control PERFORMANCE mode without subscribing to a paid plan"
This list has recently been updated by Pioneer DJ, and below is the full and complete list as of May 2024. Before you purchase consider checking the device and see wat is unlocks in the software, some even unlock DVS at no additional charge!
